Growing up, my family moved a lot between the US and Japan. It was a unique upbringing and challenging for me at times, but I now have a deep appreciation for both Japanese and US culture and feel fortunate to have experienced both.

After graduating from Bucknell University, my career path took some interesting turns. I briefly pursued a music career in Japan for a couple years while working in construction and various other jobs. I came back to the US in 2008 to study design in Boston and subsequently worked for a number of years at a couple of small game startups. During this time I independently developed three iOS titles. Since 2013, I have been fortunate to be a part of the fast-growing company DraftKings, where I am currently a Senior Motion Designer.

Aside from my interests in motion design, I am an active pickleball player, love playing music, snow-hiking, traveling and going on adventures with my wife and two Shiba-Inus, Pudding and Oppa (below).
